What to Expect
First Visit Welcome
Our goal is to provide a healing environment from the minute you, and your family, walk through our doors. We want you to feel comfortable and know that you will be taken great care of as we explain what to expect every step of the way.
Health History
Most new patients are seen in our Meridian chiropractic office for their first visit because we have more analysis equipment in that office. After your first visit you can be seen in either the Meridian or downtown Meridian location.
When you arrive at our office you will be greeted with a warm welcome from our staff. They will help you by answering any questions about the initial paperwork and fee structure.
Meet the Chiropractor
Once you are finished filling out the initial paper work, you will be brought to the consultation room to discuss any health concerns and health goals with Dr. Anacker. Patients often comment that Dr. Anacker is a good listener, gives great explanations and truly cares about her patients.
Initial Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Anacker will perform a complete chiropractic examination, including the use of a computerized scan which detects heat and muscle changes affecting your nervous system function. Dr. Anacker may recommend that x-rays be taken. The initial examination is then complete. The First Visit will last 60 minutes.
Your Second Visit – Doctor’s Report
Dr. Anacker will go over the results of your evaluation, computerized scan and x-rays (if taken). The computerized scan will tell you the intensity of dysfunction at the nervous system. The x-rays will allow us to see how much damage, if any, has occurred to your spine. The results of your computerized scan, evaluation and x-rays (if taken) will allow us to understand how pressure on your nervous system is affecting your health, and whether it is correctable or not.
At this point, upon choosing to continue care, you will receive your first adjustment. This adjustment, along with the results from your first visit, will give Dr. Anacker the information she needs in order to put together a recommendation for how to get your body to a higher level of health.
It is critical that a spouse or other support person attend this visit with you. This will allow those closest to you to understand and support you during this time of healing. The Second Visit will last 20-30 minutes.
Third Visit: Your Recommendation
Dr. Anacker will present to you a recommendation that will explain how long it will take your body to heal, how often you will need treatment and the financial investment required to gain health. The Third Visit will last 20-30 minutes.
Typical Office Visit
You will find a typical office visit to be efficient and timely. Expect to be asked for any updates on your health, to receive your adjustment and to leave with various pieces of wellness education.
